The Glory of Battle Bronze Hilth

The Glory of Battle Bronze Hilth

This poor little bronze seems… wilted somehow, more grey than bronze. Like an ashen city with gilded edges, all of him seems to droop just a little. Along his spine his hide is nearly white, at his stomach a bright coppery-bronze shines. When the light catches him just right, he shines like a new penny, but otherwise he's dull.

Egg Name and Description

Clockwork Tickings Egg
Strings of all colors combine to wrap and constrain the clock at the center of this egg. When viewed from above the giant knot seems almost insurmountable.

Hatching Message

Clockwork Tickings Egg slowly unknots itself, sliding into tine strands until only its occupan remains.

Impression Message

The Glory of Battle Bronze Hatchling stumbles across the sands, as if his feet can't quite hold him up, then lands with an unhappy and garrelous squawk at the feet of a gangly lad. William blinks at the bronze, then smiles widly, "Of course, Hilth. W'li will feed you!"

Crash of Mortars rumbles quietly, a distant yet strangely threatening presence pauses at the edge of your mind before advancing inexorably forward. Suddenly, before you can fully realize it, a sudden explosion screams overhead.

Crash of Mortars rifles imperiously through your thoughts and feelings, paying no attention to any protests. It picks out this thought then tosses aside that emotion as so much unwanted garbage. It will have what it wants, no matter the cost.

Crash of Mortars turns away from you now that it has found out what it wanted. It continues on its journey, the threatening noise fading slowly into silence.

The theme for this clutch was historical movies. The clockwork Tickings Egg was based on the German movie Der Untergang (released as Downfall in the US), which is set during the last few weeks of WWII in Hitler's bunker. ( )

His mindvoice wasn't based on anyone in particular to avoid potential insult or upsetting people. Instead, it is based on the sounds of war in Berlin as the citty was taken by the Russians.
